Young Invincibles (YI), a national organization dedicated to amplifying the voices of young adults in the political process, seeks a part-time Midwest Campus Outreach Fellow to join our Chicago team. This position is starting in September 2018 and will last up to a full academic year and will require seven to ten hours a week. The position is intended for a current undergraduate student at a two-year or four-year college.
The Midwest Campus Outreach Fellow is responsible for building Young Invincibles’ network at two-year and four-year campuses across Illinois. This fellow plays a critical role in engaging local students to have a voice in our three core policy areas: higher education access, health care access, and youth jobs access. This will include building connections with student leaders, developing relationships with campus administrators, coordinating campus events including organizing, leading training, and recruiting peers to events and assessing the needs of the community. The ideal candidate has community outreach experience, is an experienced organizer and leader, is able to mobilize young adults for powerful strategic action in a political environment, and can effectively represent the organization with students and campus administrators.
